Pro-talks UPDS home secretary Surya Rongphar (right), defence secretary Lengbart Engleng (centre) and finance secretary Lindok Rongphar (left) addressing a press conference at Chutianola, designated camp of UPDS in Karbi Anglong district of Assam on June 1, 2009, over the killing of two cadres of UPDS by the Army at Uper Deopani under Bokajan Police station in the hilly district. Two UPDS cadres Weljohn Terang and Thengkur Ingti were killed and another was injured in an encounter with the 8th Garhwal Rifles, and huge quantity arms and ammunition ( one AK-47, one AK-56, one G-3 Rifle, one M-40 granade launchar, one 40 mm chinese granade, 76 round ammunition) recovered during the operation on Monday morning.
