More than 300 people have been killed by Black Widow militants in North Cachar Hills district of Assam in the last five years. This year alone, militants have attacked trains 13 times in the hilly district killing 17 people in the process. Train services in the North Cachar Hills district have been suspended by Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR).
